Show Up to Blow Up
What if showing up isn't about becoming more visible to the world? What if it's about becoming less hidden from yourself?
There has been a huge shift for me in the last couple of weeks, and the shift isn't finished. It hasn't happened fast. It hasn't been painless. My nervous system is still on high alert.
The funny thing is, the shift isn't even a new idea. Spirit has been whispering to me about this very specific thing for years.
I just wasn't ready yet.
And apparently, there is still a part of me trying to drag my feet like a toddler who isn't ready to leave the playground.
The message came three and a half years ago
In January 2023, I took a HUGE leap of faith and went to a business conference. There were lots of high-powered people in the room. It was hosted by Rachel Rodgers, CEO of Hello Seven and author of We Should All Be Millionaires, and I felt so out of place.
In the weeks leading up to the conference, though, I just knew I was supposed to be there. I wasn't sure how. I wasn't sure why.
Well, okay. I had hoped it would magically transform me from a struggling-to-survive business owner into a thriving millionaire over the weekend. 😜
And I did get to watch a full double rainbow form right in front of my eyes, so I'm still fairly certain the magical leprechaun holding my millions was dancing around somewhere just out of sight.
But all kidding aside, something did happen that weekend. It just wasn't what I thought I was going there for.
The night before the conference started, I was awakened from a sound sleep with a phrase.
It hit me so deeply that I immediately turned on the bedside lamp, grabbed the hotel notepad, and scribbled it down. I didn't even put on my glasses. As I stared at that little notepad through blurry eyes, I could feel both the power of Spirit calling me to something and my mind responding with:
WTF?
I knew the phrase mattered.
I just didn't know yet what it was going to ask of me.
When the body says it's not safe
Even now, three and a half years later, as I sit on my porch enjoying a still Texas morning before the day turns into sitting inside a 475-degree oven, my nervous system has something to say about sharing this.
You can't share this. It's not safe.
And then the questions start.
What will people think? Who do you think you are? What if you screw it up and now you've shared this? What if you make people uncomfortable? What if they think you're crazy?
Instead of shutting those voices down, I decided to let them speak.
No judgment. Just allowance.
Because I've learned that sometimes the parts of us making the most noise aren't trying to sabotage us. They're trying to protect us with information they learned a very long time ago.
So I listened.
There is the one who fears being left. The one who fears people getting angry. The one who fears making mistakes. The one who learned it's not safe to be seen. The one who learned it's not safe to speak her truth. The one who learned it's not safe to trust.
And then came one I wasn't expecting:
The one who learned it's not safe to be alive.
Woah.
That one stopped me.
Even as I was writing, I didn't know that was going to come out. I have a feeling it's multifaceted and may very well be an underlying program I simply wasn't ready to see until now.
And this is exactly why I write. It's why I journal. It's why I listen.
Because I believe the answers are within us, and sometimes we don't know what we know until we create enough quiet for it to speak.
So what was the phrase?
In the three and a half years since that middle-of-the-night wake-up, Spirit has brought that phrase back to me at the most random-feeling times.
Again and again.
A gentle nudge to remember.
But I don't think I was only being asked to remember the words. I was being asked to remember something deeper.
To get out of the swirling vortex of what ifs? in my head and come back into my soul-level human BEingness.
To...
SHOW UP TO BLOW UP.
When I first received it, part of me interpreted "blow up" the way we tend to in business.
Get big. Get known. Be successful. Blow up.
But I don't think that's what this message has been about at all.
Or at least, that's not what it means to me now.
What if the thing we're being asked to blow up isn't our visibility?
What if it's everything that taught us to hide?
Blowing up the programs
The shift happening for me now is that I'm being called to show up fully.
Not hiding behind a business name. Not trying to package myself into something more easily understood. Not separating the parts of myself that seem professional enough from the parts that might make someone uncomfortable.
I'm being asked to walk through this world fully as Morgan Daily Jackson.
There is frequency in our names. There is power in claiming them.
Tending the Heart can be what it was created to be—the business structure that holds my work. But the work itself?
It's me.
The channeling. The writing. The creating. The breath. The sound. The questions. The play. The grief. The curiosity. The humanness. The occasional WTF.
All of it.
And maybe showing up fully as myself is how I finally get to blow up the programs that have kept me undercover.
The belief that it's safer not to be seen.
The belief that speaking your truth risks losing love.
The belief that making a mistake means you've failed.
The belief that you need everyone to understand you before you're allowed to trust what you know.
The belief that authenticity is only safe when it's palatable.
Maybe SHOW UP TO BLOW UP was never an instruction to become bigger.
Maybe it was an invitation to become less hidden.
There is only one you who can BE you
If you've made it this far, I want to invite you to sit with this phrase too.
Not because it needs to mean what it means to me. In fact, I hope you don't immediately decide what it means at all.
Just sit with it.
SHOW UP TO BLOW UP.
What are you being invited to show up for?
What belief might be ready to blow apart?
What part of you has been waiting for enough safety to finally come out of hiding?
What would showing up as yourself look like if it wasn't a performance?
When I originally started writing about this, what came through was that the world is ready for authentic vulnerability.
And then my guidance team very clearly corrected me:
IT'S IMPERATIVE. No more hiding.
Not because you owe the world every part of yourself. Authenticity doesn't mean abandoning discernment, privacy, or boundaries.
But there is only one you who can BE exactly you.
Maybe the invitation isn't to become more impressive, more polished, more healed, or more acceptable.
Maybe it's to become more available to your own life.
To show up for yourself.
To blow up the false beliefs that taught you it wasn't safe to be fully here.
And to stop asking the world for permission to bring the medicine of your authentically human self with you.
SHOW UP TO BLOW UP.
Maybe Spirit wasn't telling me how to build a business after all.
Maybe Spirit was showing me how to come out of hiding.
Huge hugs & divine love,
Morgan
